Prior to joining Austrade, Mystique worked in various teams in the International Education Division within the Department of Education. She has a Masters of Research in International Development Studies from the University of Amsterdam, where she specialised in education and undertook field research in Sri Lanka. Mystique also holds a Bachelor of International and Global Studies from the University of Sydney.
This session will explore the Department of Education’s international student data and the Department of Home Affairs’ student visa data to reveal trends during the first six months of 2019. Overall it is a picture of continued growth but where are students going and what are they studying? And importantly, what do we need to do to make sure Australia remains competitive and a desired destination.
